"changelog": "The first release for TrackMania 2 (ManiaPlanet 4) as well, with a new menu and the game's own light. It follows 1.4.0-preview (2026-10-12) and its release candidates (there is no plain 1.4.0); this list covers everything since 1.3.0.\n\nNew:\n- TrackMania 2 (ManiaPlanet 4) support (see the end of this list). One zip and one setup for both games.\n- New F8 menu: every preset as a card with a picture, a line about it and its GPU load. Point at one and the game shows it, click to use it, right click to use it on day, sunset or night maps. Pages Shaders, Customize (the everyday settings), Studio (every setting), Maps, Performance, Settings and About. Short labels with the details in tooltips, the mod's icon in the header, sized for the screen. Your own presets get a picture of the game when you save them.\n- Menu: Studio's settings sorted into clearer groups (Image split into Image quality and Game integration, the latter last; Haze and light shafts out of Sky), the main sliders first in each group; Customize gets a Colour panel and the same order as Studio; every setting has a tooltip.\n- Share a look as text: Copy share code / Paste share code on the Shaders page put a look on the clipboard as one line (TMVS1:...) for a chat. The same code works in TrackMania Nations/United and TrackMania 2.\n- Hotkeys can be changed (Settings page, Hotkeys). Reload shaders is now Ctrl+F9, so the mod works next to the 100% TMX + Bingo mod: the menu under the pointer gets the mouse.\n- Photo mode (F6, on by itself with the free camera): no HUD, full quality, effects reach three times as far. F12 saves a photo without the HUD, Shift+F12 a hi-res photo; middle click sets the focus, Shift+wheel zooms. Works with the effects switched off too.\n- Compare split (Shift+F6): the game's image or any preset on the other side of a line, on the same frame and in photos, with both names at the line.\n- Light from the game itself: Game HDR gives the mod the game's image with light brighter than white, and Game light sources makes lamps, floodlights, start lights and neon borders glow as the game draws them instead of guessing lamps from bright pixels: no more glowing grass, banners or car paint at night. Neon strip glow, Floodlights, Lamp glare and Lamp haze glow tune them.\n- Real night under night skies (Real night): with a night sky or the black hole over a day or sunset map, the game lights the map at midnight itself (its moon, no baked sun). The map, its replays and validation stay as they are. Game moonlight lets the game's moon shine from the black hole, or turns it off.\n- Long mesh shadows: long shadows from the game's own meshes, from the sun or the black hole, without popping; with Fence shadows fences and grids cast their lattice.\n- Render scale with AMD FSR 1 (Image quality, off by default): the game and the effects at a fraction of the screen's resolution, scaled up before the HUD, which stays sharp. At 0.67 the effects cost about half.\n- MP4 video export: Shoot video in the replay editor writes an MP4 (H.264 or HEVC, sound as AAC), encoded by the graphics card, no codec dialog. The effects run on the video's own clock at full quality, also with the export's supersampling.\n- Colour looks from .cube files (Studio, Colour look (LUT)) on top of every preset.\n- Focus on the car: Focus on -> Car keeps your car sharp in replays and photo mode.\n- Neon trail from the car's real position in the game: no flicker at speed, no gaps, it lies along banked roads, walls and loops and keeps going through the map's clips. Earlier runs kept shows the last runs, dimmer.\n- Rain and snow stay outside: nothing falls under roofs, bridges and in buildings, and the lens dries off under a wide roof.\n- Update check: the menu says when a new release is out (nothing is downloaded; it can be switched off).\n- ModLoader update server: with one line in the ModLoader's config.yaml the ModLoader installs the mod and every new version itself (install). The About page tells ModLoader users about it.\n- The snowstorm's wind is a real recording.\n- New settings Haze distance, Highlight roll-off, Floodlit surfaces and Game sunset clouds.\n- Experimental, off: Game normals (the game's own shaders hand the mod their normals). Night on game light (their light) is not in the menu: GameLight=1 in settings.ini.\n- tmvs.log writes a performance line every 2000 frames (performance).\n- SMAA edge smoothing (Image quality, SMAA instead of FXAA, on in every preset but Performance): smoother long edges and sharper textures than FXAA for about 0.2 ms more at 1440p. Older settings.ini and preset files keep FXAA.\n\nChanged defaults:\n- On: Game HDR, Game light sources, Clean highlights, Long mesh shadows, Fence shadows, Gap-free long shadows, Clean water, Replay menu shading, Real night, Game moonlight from the black hole, Turn off game FX (the game's own bloom and colour filter, from the next map on), temporal AA (not in Performance) with TAA jitter, MP4 for the video export and Best export quality.\n- Lamp glare 0.7 and Lamp haze glow 1. The night presets (Neon, Horizon, Aurora): neon borders glow at 3, the dry track has a sheen instead of a mirror. Neon's bounce light 1, Horizon's bloom 0.15, more neon light spill on Vibrant, Realistic, Competition and Performance. Snowstorm: no snow on the ground, thicker haze.\n- Horizon: sky rotation 0, planet direction 20\u00b0, Night darkening 0.5 (was automatic). The Ring world sky darkens the night by 0.5; its On the rings view places the planet and the black hole for that view (black hole size 4.5 at 25\u00b0 height, planet size 1.15 at 20\u00b0 and -4\u00b0, sky rotation 150).\n- Sharpening 0.8 (was 0.35; Competition 0.8, was 0.5). Share codes made with an earlier version keep their sharpening.\n- Picked preset applies to all maps of this type is off: a preset you pick holds on every map until you choose presets per map type again on the Maps page.\n\nFixed:\n...\n\nRelease notes: https://github.com/cheatoskar/TM-Vibrant-Shaders/releases/tag/v1.4.1"

"changelog": "A new video export, resource packs, the Horror look with car headlights, clear water and splashes, a fix for overlapped blocks, photo mode in the MediaTracker, and the Misc page (TrackMania Nations/United); car spray, menu windows, the Horror look and car headlights also in TrackMania 2.\n\nNew:\n- Photo mode in the replay editor's MediaTracker (TrackMania Nations/United): the focus click lands where you click in the small 3D view (it was mapped to the whole screen), the screenshot of an F12 capture is of the view only, and clicks on the editor's panels stay the game's.\n- Photo panel: with the effects off its look sliders are greyed (photo mode shows the game's own image then) with a Turn on button; Hide car switches the car's shadow off with the game's own item setters. The exposure, vignette and grain sliders make the preset Custom like the menu's (the replay editor's changing light put the preset's values back over them). Hide car also hides the car's shadow; Hide editor no longer waits for the game to call its interface switch.\n- Hide editor in photo mode (Hide editor, off; TrackMania Nations/United): the replay editor's panels hidden with the game's own interface switch (its Tab key), the 3D view filling the screen.\n- A compact photo panel (TrackMania Nations/United; exposure, aperture, zoom, vignette, grain, focus, hide car / HUD), Ctrl+F6 hides it for a clean view.\n- Hide car in photo mode (Hide car, off; TrackMania Nations/United): the cars (body, glass, lights) are left out of the picture and the photos.\n- Pages in windows: every menu page (Shaders, Customize, Studio, Maps, Performance, Video, Resource packs, Settings, About) can be popped out into a window of its own with the symbol on its tab. Move, resize, minimize or close it (the page goes back to the tab bar), keep it on screen over the game when the menu is closed, set its opacity. Places and states are saved and come back after a restart ([Windows] in settings.ini). Also in the TrackMania 2 build.\n- Headlight range and beam (Headlight range, 90 m; Headlight beam, 0.5; shown with Car headlights): how far the light reaches (it fades with distance, inverse square, and ends smoothly) and how strongly the cone shows in the air. The lamps sit a little closer to the car and the cone is wider (54 degrees); the glare on a lamp shrinks and fades with distance, so a car far away is a small point, not a searchlight. Horror has thicker haze (5).\n- Misc page (TrackMania Nations/United): a minimap in the replay editor and exported videos only, never while you drive (TMX allows no minimap in the race) (the track's shape from the map's blocks and your car; with Real look the blocks as the game draws them, seen from above in their own colours, filling in as the camera sees them; Auto zoom follows the car, 150 m across standing still, 600 m at 500 km/h, never wider than the track, a small track shown whole, held at the finish and gliding back for the next run; the log says what the minimap costs; checkpoints and other special blocks look like plain road), split times at each checkpoint, time and speed, against the map's record from TMX (fetched by itself once per map and kept), the ghost you race against, your best run or a replay file, kept until you restart, with a sector clock, in a window of one height with five checkpoint rows that scroll, each sector after the finish against your best and the reference, and a Session panel (attempts, best / median / last with a graph, respawns, spread, your theoretical best from all your runs and replays of the map, kept per map, the best combined with the reference, the last run sector by sector), and finish effects (confetti, fireworks for a new best run). All off until switched on; the panels sit at the top right and move together; drag a panel away to detach it; everything scales with the game window; the panels are never in photos, the video export or captures. After the game starts a badge at the top centre shows the logo, the mod's version and the keys for the menu and the effects for 10 seconds.\n- Horror preset and car headlights (Car headlights, 0; Horror sets 1): the Horror look is a black night with every lamp and neon strip off (floodlights, glows, spill and neon at 0, light intensity 0, the night darkens what the game baked at full), thick fog, and two spotlights from the front of your car as the only light: they light the road and walls ahead, show as beams in the fog and glare when the camera looks into them. No shadows from the headlights. Works with any preset through the setting.\n- Horror and car headlights in TrackMania 2 (Car headlights, Headlight range, Headlight beam): the two spotlights on the car the camera follows (read from the constants the game draws it with, as for the spray), lighting the game's own material colours, normals and shine, with beams in the haze and glare. Which way the car faces comes from its motion, until then from the chase camera. Floodlights there turns every light the game draws as light down or off (lamps, neon, screens); at 0 under a night sky, as in Horror, the lamps' light in the light maps and the moon go too, also on night maps.\n- Resource packs, Apply on the card: the chosen card gets a small Apply button when the loaded map shows something else, so you don't scroll up to Apply now; the card says how it went. None shows the Realistic preset's picture (the game's own look).\n...\n\nRelease notes: https://github.com/cheatoskar/TM-Vibrant-Shaders/releases/tag/v1.4.2"
